Hello, I'm Alan Clements, and together with my long-time colleague and co-author, Fergus Harlow, based in Edinburgh, we’re seeking a full-time personal assistant for a number of unique, crucial roles.
This year, we're gearing up to launch an international campaign demanding the immediate release of Burma's unlawfully imprisoned Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, President Win Myint, nearly 200 other elected democratic leaders and 20,000 additional prisoners of conscience.
This campaign will encompass a global fundraising initiative, the production of digital media materials, media outreach and grassroots social media marketing and content generation.
In addition, we have numerous other projects and visions in production under the World Dharma Network, our production company and media network.
We’re looking for a talented individual who wants to dive in with us. If you're a skilled writer, editor, audio/video editor, graphic artist, social media maverick, and have basic web skills in WordPress, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, you possess several of these talents, if not all. We are looking for someone who is mindfully balanced to engage complex challenges, meet creative deadlines, and engage with compelling people.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Launching and managing the international Use Your Freedom Global campaign under our guidance, including creating graphics, audio and video memes, and more.
- Executing a global fundraising initiative, something we have successfully undertaken several times over the past 15 years.
- Supporting various projects within the World Dharma Network, primarily focused on writing, audio and video production and books.
Skills We’re Looking For:
- Writing and editing
- Audio and video editing
- Graphic design
- Social media management
- Publicity skills
- Basic web skills (WordPress)
- Excellent digital, phone, and video communication etiquette
- Skilled in Zoom setup and management of international gatherings
- Spontaneity for urgent based media actions and the possibility of field work
